The XXXIII Convention of the Ukrainian National Women's League of America was held in New Jersey

On September 13-15, 2024, the XXXIII Convention of the Ukrainian National Women's League of America was held in New Jersey.

A new Board was elected at the Convention. Congratulations to Ukrainian Women's Union of America President Natalie Pavlenko and the newly elected Board. We wish you inspiration in your social work and unity of action in developing the women's movement and preserving Ukrainians in the United States.

Orystlava Sydorchuk, Chair of the Ukrainian Women's Union, attended the event and delivered a speech. Ms. Sydorchuk spoke about the activities of the Ukrainian Women's Union during the war, the role of women and the importance of advocating for Ukraine in the international arena. She also thanked the Ukrainian Women's Union of America, represented by its President Natalie Pavlenko, for their long-term partnership.

Welcoming remarks on behalf of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women's Organizations were delivered by President Jaroszlava Hartyanyi. The Ukrainian World Congress was represented by President Paul Grod. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova also joined the event.

“In a year, the Ukrainian Women's Union of America will celebrate its 100th anniversary. During this time, the allies of America have implemented thousands of charitable, cultural, and educational projects, and the most important is advocacy and defending Ukraine's interests in the international arena. We are grateful for the partnership with the All-Ukrainian Union of Ukrainian Women and thank all our allies for their tireless work for the benefit of our common Ukrainian cause!” said Oryslava Sydorchuk.

The Convention concluded with the adoption of the Resolution.

Despite various historical challenges, the global Ukrainian women's movement has gained a significant share in the political and public life of the world, and its influence covers continents, formulating significant international activities.
