The Rostyslava Fedak International Competition “MY Native Land” 2024-2025 has started

Traditionally, the All-Ukrainian NGO Union of Ukrainian Women holds the Rostyslava Fedak International Competition for Pupils and Students “MY Native Land” in 2024-2025.

The competition is intended to initiate research work of young people from secondary schools, secondary and higher educational institutions of Ukraine and abroad, and the World Federation of Ukrainian Women's Organizations.

Young people aged 12 to 25 who are engaged in scientific and research work and who care about our past and the future of Ukraine are invited to participate in the My Native Land contest.

The competition will run until April 1, 2025.
 

The topics of the works are:

  • research of the history (chronicle) of a region, city, village, school, public organization;
  • the genealogy of my family or a famous family of the region in order to preserve the genetic connection between generations (our genealogical heritage is in a very difficult state: almost all genealogical information that has been stored for centuries in church archives was destroyed after 1917 as a “relic of the past”)
  • national education, schooling, and the institution of the family;
  • the spirit of the nation, life paths, destinies, and connections between generations;
  • emergence and development of folk crafts of the region: past and present;
  • famous personalities;
  • characteristic features of the native area, its place in the state;
  • my region in the era of technological progress: industry, ecology, human health and the health of the nation;
  • natural resources of my region;
  • Ukraine on a new path;
  • Heroes and time.

Works should be submitted to the competition committee of the NGO Union of Ukrainian Women - 4 Danyla Halytskoho Square, Lviv 79000. Lviv 79000, marked: for the contest “My native land”.

Requirements for the works

The volume of the work for school and secondary school students is 6-10 pages, for students - 10-15 pages.

Manuscripts should be submitted in one copy (A4 paper size, single-spaced, in Word for Windows) and in electronic form (e-mail: cprpp-Lviv@ukr.net). The title page should contain the name of the paper, educational institution, public organization, surname, name and age of the author. The last page should contain the postal addresses, telephone numbers (landline and mobile), e-mail of the educational institution (supervisor), the name and surname of the contestant's supervisor, and his/her position.

The results and awarding of the winners will be held in June 2025.
