The Union of Ukrainian Women of Estonia is 25 years old

The leadership of the NGO Union of Ukrainian Women, represented by its head Orystlava Sydorchuk and her deputy Vira Tchaikovska, attended the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Ukrainian Women's Association of Estonia.

The main activities of the organization of the Ukrainian diaspora in Estonia are cultural and educational, as well as volunteer activities.

In order to preserve the national culture and native language, traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people, the Union of Ukrainian Women of Estonia organizes concerts, exhibitions, lectures on the history of Ukraine, and holds literary and musical evenings dedicated to anniversaries of famous Ukrainian figures and memorable dates in the history of the Ukrainian people.

Since the beginning of the war, the Union of Ukrainian Women of Estonia has been actively assisting the Ukrainian military and Ukrainians seeking protection from military operations.

"Women allies, regardless of the country, are leaders of civil society and very often, in partnership with international organizations and governments of the countries in which they live, Ukrainian women help organize dialogue and mediation at various levels to help Ukrainians and Ukraine. This is especially noticeable in the current time of war. Active women have united in helping, and women have taken on the responsibility of providing for the front line and caring for the temporarily displaced. Ukrainian women in Estonia are working on the volunteer front without slowing down. We are sincerely grateful for their social work! Prosperity to the organization and the close-knit team!" said Orystlava Sydorchuk, head of the Ukrainian Women's Union.

The cooperation between the Ukrainian Women's Union and the Estonian Ukrainian Women's Union was approved by the Cooperation Agreement in a solemn atmosphere on the day of the anniversary.
